What to BringAll residence hall rooms are furnished with one standard — not extra-long — twin bed, dresser, desk, desk chair and bookshelf per resident.

Required

  • Waterproof mattress pad
  • Power strip/surge protector (required for computers)

Not Allowed

  • Pets (With the exception of fish and aquatic turtles, pets are not permitted in the residence halls at any time.)
  • Air conditioners
  • Refrigerators larger than 5 cubic feet total capacity
  • Microwaves (MicroFridge units are the only microwaves allowed in residence hall rooms.)
  • Any appliance with an open heating element (hot plates, space heaters, toasters, toaster ovens, deep fryers, rice cookers, panini makers or sandwich grills, crock pots)
  • Bed risers with electrical outlets (risers with only USB ports are ok)
  • Candles, incense and open flames, including wax burners or candle warmers
  • Ceiling fans
  • Coffee makers without automatic shut-off
  • Extra furniture
  • Halogen lamps
  • Desk lamps with electrical outlets (desk lamps with only USB ports are ok)
  • Extension cords
  • Fireworks, explosives and flammable substances (including charcoal & lighter fluid)
  • Fuel-powered equipment
  • Gasoline, propane, flammable liquids or gases
  • Halogen lamps
  • Hoverboards and their chargers
  • Keg refrigeration devices
