Eid-Al-Fitr has arrived! This is the holiday that follows the holy month of Ramadan. We will be providing transportation for Eid prayer at the Greater Lynchburg Islamic Association Mosque. This event is of course welcome to all. Eid Mubarak!!

The van will leave from the Post Office.

Join Sweet Dancers and the ARC for a fun evening of line dancing! Take an break from studying and join us in dancing the stress away. This event is a part of De-Stress Fest 2024. We will be learning and dancing to old favorites like the Cha Cha Slide and Electric Slide, as well as new hits such as Shivers and Burn It To The Ground.

Jenny Molberg is the author of three collections of poetry: Marvels of the Invisible, Refusal, and The Court of No Record. Her poems and essays have appeared in Ploughshares, The Cincinnati Review, VIDA, The Missouri Review, The Rumpus, The Adroit Journal, Oprah Quarterly, and other publications. She is Associate Professor and Chair of Creative Writing at the University of Central Missouri, where she edits Pleiades: Literature in Context.

SA Smythe is a multi-instrumentalist, critical theorist, and transmedia storyteller and educator conjuring cartographies of black belonging. Their practice choreographs sound compositions, light sculptures, poetics, performance, and archival ephemera. They are Assistant Professor of Black Studies & the Archive at the University of Toronto, where they direct the Collaboratory for Black Poiēsis and their studio, mannish waters atelier.

VCCA Salons are monthly collaborative events that provide the opportunity for Fellows in the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) residency program to share their work. The April 10th presenters will be announced soon. More information can be found here: VCCA Salon Series
