Traditions have been the heart and soul of Sweet Briar since it was established in 1901. Every fall, we honor our founders with a walk to Monument Hill. This year, we added a new tradition: At sunrise, we came together at the Sweet Briar Plantation Burial Ground to pay tribute to the many invisible founders who helped build this beautiful college. Here’s a glimpse of the sounds and sights of that special day in September.
