The Office of Institutional Effectiveness strives to offer the Sweet Briar community timely analysis and information so as to inform decision-making and policy formulation and to support the College’s assessment and planning initiatives. We also coordinate and oversee responses to external requests for information or data about the College.
The primary mission of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness is to engage the College in ongoing, integrated and institution-wide research-based planning and evaluation processes. The office’s goals are to:
- Incorporate a systematic review of institutional mission, goals and outcomes;
- Conduct institutional research that results in continuing improvement in institutional quality and effectiveness; and
- Demonstrate that the institution is effectively accomplishing its mission.
