COVID-19 Resources

Dear campus community,

It is important for me to keep you informed about COVID-19 related developments on our campus. The College has created a “dashboard,” so that we can inform you in real time as COVID-related cases occur. That includes the number of positive cases who have been placed in isolation, as well as the number who may have been exposed and placed in quarantine. The “dashboard” is on our new COVID-19 website. The information on the “dashboard” as well as the website in general will be updated daily.

A few other reminders:

  • Wear your mask, wash your hands regularly and maintain physical distance between yourself and others.
  • The temporary health center is now open and staffed with a health care professional in Reid Pit. It is open 11 a.m.–5 p.m. on weekdays. If you have symptoms or have been in close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19, you can be tested there. You can also visit the VDH website for a list of other local testing sites.
  • Please download LiveSafe and check your symptoms daily.
  • Download the new COVIDWISE app, which is a contact tracing mechanism from the state of Virginia.
  • Familiarize yourself with Sweet Briar College’s re-opening plan
  • Visit the CDC website for information about COVID-19 and the symptoms to look for.

If you have questions, please reach out to your supervisor or Jodi Canfield, who is leading the College’s COVID-19 task force.

Please be safe and be well.
