Welcome

The Office of Communications shares the mission and message of Sweet Briar College. We develop the publications, media stories, content, messaging, advertising, branding, images, web communications and everything in between that help position Sweet Briar as one of the nation’s premier women’s colleges.

How Can We Help?

If you are a member of the Sweet Briar community and would like to request printed materials, a press release, photo/video services, website changes or any other marketing and communications need, visit our services section where you’ll find all the necessary information and request forms.

Photography and Video Policy

All students are required to submit a signed media release statement as part of Sweet Briar’s orientation policy. While the vast majority of students grant permission for the College to use images (photographs and video) of them in marketing materials, there are a few students each year who do not. It is the responsibility of the student to notify the Office of Communications or the person capturing the images if they do not wish to have their image taken or used.

Visitors to campus may take pictures of campus structures and land. Sweet Briar does request that visitors register with the Office of Campus Safety before coming to campus to take photographs and video.
