The Mown Path

Students and faculty across academic disciplines have begun conversations about the emerging agricultural enterprises on campus and how the community can participate in those in an inter-disciplinary way. Early discussions have been centered around the creation of an outdoor classroom connected to the newly built greenhouses and gardens, and the development of an artfully serpentine mown path through the fields between the Babcock Performing Arts Center at one end of campus and the Art Barn at the other end, to facilitate movement between those two areas of campus. The path, which is visible from most of the buildings in the main Quad and lower Quad, will include technological and artistic components and meanwhile serve pedestrians and horses.
