Academic Resource Center (ARC) writing mentors are available at any stage of the writing process to work with students to communicate their messages clearly, concisely and coherently.
Mentoring Sessions in Writing
Many students who visit the ARC are working on papers for their classes. Our peer mentors can help at any point in the process — from the idea stage to the final draft.
During a session, you might engage in a variety of activities — brainstorming, free writing, outlining, reverse outlining, drawing concept maps, reading your paper out loud, etc. Your mentor will help you discover what methods work best for you and your project.
