Residence Hall Open/Close Shuttles 2012-2013:
Shuttle service to and from Lynchburg Regional Airport and Kemper Street Bus & Amtrak Station for Spring break from Sweet Briar College.
Sweet Briar College offers a free shuttle service to Lynchburg Regional Airport and Amtrak station at the semester breaks mentioned above. This service is limited to a first-come, first-serve basis. Please watch for the email from Co-Curricular Life sent about 3 weeks before each break, then come in person to sign up for the shuttle that best matches your departure time. We do not take shuttle reservations via email or phone. These shuttle sign-ups are in the chaplain’s office (lower level of Reid Hall).
We make every attempt to have shuttles that leave early enough for you to make the first flight out of Lynchburg and the early and late trains. We have limited trips to town so you may have to wait before your plane or train leaves. You always have the option of asking a friend for a ride, or contacting Cora Tabb at Tabb’s Taxi for a ride. They can be reached at (434) 944-3437 or tabbcab@comcast.net.
The shuttles are scheduled on the Thursday and Friday before break and there is always a shuttle leaving campus at 8 a.m. on the Saturday that the residence halls close. We also offer shuttles for your return to campus and we ask that you sign up BEFORE you leave for break. We do not normally offer shuttles at the end of the school year so please make reservations accordingly. The dates listed below are scheduled, but some changes may be necessary as the year progresses.
