Professor Alexandrin’s teaching and scholarship agenda focuses on the intersection of disabilities and diversity. She teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses in special education, gifted and talented education and diversity education. Alexandrin started her career as a learning disability teacher in a public middle school, where she eventually planned and implemented a completely inclusive program. After serving in the public school system, she was a special education teacher at a school for students with moderate-to-severe emotional and behavioral disabilities. In her most recent position working directly with students, Alexandrin served as a designer and service provider in a community-based middle- and high school program for students with moderate-to-severe disabilities.
