  • The Robin S. Cramer Hall is one of the largest indoor college arenas in the nation at 120' x 300'. It is large enough to accommodate classes simultaneously with independent riders.

  • Sweet Briar riders compete successfully at rated shows, IHSA shows and schooling shows. Sweet Briar riders consistently win in Amateur Owner and Adult Amateur hunter divisions, equitation medals and USEF Adult Equitation and Jumper classes.

  • Tell us a bit about yourself and your interests. We'd love to hear from you and let you know in more detail about the riding program at Sweet Briar.

  • The Riding Program offers a strong instructional program and American hunter, jumper and equitation riding competitions in open horse shows, intercollegiate competitions, hunter trials and hunter paces.

  • Whether you're a recreational rider or a polished competitor, Sweet Briar's vigorous instructional program meets your riding goals. Our faculty are dedicated to providing a rewarding experience for every student.

  • At every level, riders have a variety of opportunities, with an emphasis in three major areas: hunter/jumper/equitation, training/schooling young horses, and hunter-oriented cross country.
