Sweet Briar's pre-law program is made up of a multidisciplinary advising team led by adjunct instructor of government Larry Janow, a retired juvenile and domestic relations district court judge with decades of experience on the bench.
The College's award-winning career services office also plays an integral role in the pre-law program, facilitating internships, workshops and other experiential learning opportunities.
Others who will guide your journey include government professors Dr. Barbara Perry and Dr. Stephen Bragaw. Perry is an expert on the U.S. Supreme Court, and has written several books on the court and its justices. Bragaw is often called upon by the local media — especially in November — to offer his opinion on state and national elections.
Attorney and visiting assistant professor of business Tom Loftus also is on the pre-law team, as is Dr. Lynn Laufenberg from the College's history department. Both teach law-related courses in their departments.
