Wine Tasting Class Begins Feb. 7

“An Introduction to Wine and Wine Tasting,” an eight-week extracurricular class on wine, will be held at Sweet Briar this term and is open to interested students, alumnae, faculty and staff ages 21 and older.

The class will cover wine basics and students will taste a wide variety of whites, reds, roses and champagne. The class fee is $80 plus a textbook which costs about $10 used.

The class will meet 7:30 to 9 p.m. on Thursdays in Prothro. Classes will be held Feb. 7, 14, 21 and 28; March 20 and 27, and April 3 and 10. The first class will meet in Johnson Dining Room with the remainder in Josey Dining Room.

Some students have already signed up, but additional space is available. To reserve a space, e-mail Cliff Ambers at cambers@sbc.edu . You will receive an e-mail confirming your place in the class.

You can pay the $80 class fee by check or cash to Ambers on the first day of class. Photo identification will be required for age verification at the beginning of the first class.
