Sweet Briar Faculty, Staff Run Virginia 10-Miler

Three member of the Sweet Briar community competed Sept. 29 in the 34th annual Virginia 10-miler in Lynchburg. A total of 677 runners ran the hilly course, which starts and ends at E.C. Glass High School.

Suzanne Ramsey, staff writer in college relations, finished the race in 1 hour, 18 minutes. She placed 149th overall and 19th of 232 women.

Scott Pierce, assistant professor of engineering, finished in 1 hour, 36 minutes. Pierce was 452nd overall and ranked 281st of 408 men.

Dorsa Sanadgol, assistant professor of engineering, finished in 1 hour, 54 minutes. She placed 596th overall and was the 195th women to cross the finish line.
