Students Plan Habitat Carnival, Sell TumblersFrom staff reports Sweet Briar College’s business management lab will have a carnival to benefit Amherst County Habitat for Humanity 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, March 30. All events will be held in the Upper Quad on Sweet Briar’s campus.
In case of rain, the event will be held in Williams Gymnasium.
“The carnival is a first for the management lab,” Tom Loftus, assistant professor of business, said. “I was hugely impressed by the ideas the girls came up with. This is a community event that has received tremendous on-campus support. This event is a tribute to the commitment made by our students to Amherst Habitat for Humanity.”
The class of 2010 is selling Tervis tumblers with the Sweet Briar College seal. Pre-orders will be taken through March 21. The tumblers are $13 for one or two for $25. The class must have your money in order to pre-order a tumbler.
Checks should be made out to “SBC Class of 2010” and can be delivered to Laura McKenna at P.O. Box 278. For more information, contact McKenna at mckenna10@sbc.edu or Kirsten Miller at kmiller10@sbc.edu .
