Perry Engages in Civic Discourse

On Sept. 19, Carter Glass Professor of Government Barbara Perry was a guest on Wisconsin Public Radio’s “At Issue,” an hour-long call-in program.

“The topic was civic engagement and whether there should be a national service initiative,” Perry wrote in an e-mail to college relations after the interview aired.

“There was a lively discussion on civic renewal, and each time I was introduced, the host mentioned Sweet Briar and the [Center for Civic Renewal]!” Nice press.”
