Grounds Employees Deliver Christmas Cheer to Former BossFrom staff reports On Dec. 20, members of Sweet Briar’s grounds crew delivered Christmas goodies to former grounds foreman Lloyd Jackson. Jackson retired in 1993 after 35 years of service to the College. The crew arrived at Jackson’s house in Amherst County, near the VCCA, bearing a fruit basket, baked goods from Sweet Briar’s dining services and a poinsettia.
“Some of the members of the grounds crew worked for Lloyd,” grounds supervisor Donna Meeks said. “Those that did not have that honor were introduced to a former Sweet Briar employee that contributed much to the beauty of this campus.”
