Gotwalt to Serve as Feature Editor for AEQ

Gene Gotwalt, assistant professor and chair of the department of economics and business at Sweet Briar College, will serve as a feature editor for the fall 2009 edition of Academic Exchange Quarterly.

According to its Web site, AEQ “is dedicated to the presentation of ideas, research, methods and pedagogical theories leading to effective instruction and learning regardless of level or subject.”

It has been in print since 1997 and has readers in all 50 states and dozens of countries.

The edition on which Gotwalt will work will feature a special section on business programs at traditional liberal arts colleges. For more information, visit AEQ.

Also, on Thursday, March 27, Gotwalt presented a paper, “Social Capital and the Voluntary Provision of a Public Good” at the annual Virginia Association of Economists convention held at Washington and Lee University and the Virginia Military Institute.
