Browns’ Daughter Front-page Story

A photograph of Molly Brown, daughter of English and creative writing professors John and Carrie Brown, graces the front cover of the January issue of Nelson County Life magazine.

In the photo, the 16-year-old Brown is poised on her mono-ski at Wintergreen Resort.

Inside on page 14, “The Making of an Athlete” tells the story of the Brown’s involvement with Wintergreen Adaptive Skiing. Brown, who has cerebral palsy, started skiing about five years ago, on the suggestion of her orthopedic surgeon and since then has become both an accomplished skier and junior instructor.
