Sweet Briar’s Ali Davidson ’13 was the high-point rider at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association competition at Hollins University on Feb. 19.

Davidson led the Vixen IHSA team, winning first place in the open over fences and open flat. Also bringing home ribbons were first-year Olivia Smith, who was third in open over fences and first in intermediate flat; Amanda Wager ’14, who placed first in novice flat; and Caitlynn Bragg ’14, who took second in beginner, walk, trot, canter.

Oliver’s ride in the intermediate flat qualified her to compete individually in that class in regional IHSA competition.

Sarah Hibler ’14 and Jodi Fritz ’14 also participated.

The top five teams finished as follows: Randolph College, 43; Bridgewater College, 38; Lynchburg College, 35; Hollins, 34; and University of Virginia, 28. Sweet Briar was sixth in the team standings with 23 points.
