Sweet Briar Theatre will present William Shakespeare’s “As You Like It,” directed by William Kershner, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, Friday, Oct. 28 and Saturday, Oct. 29 and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30 in Murchison Lane Auditorium at Babcock Fine Arts Center.
“As You Like It” is considered by many to be one of Shakespeare’s greatest comedies. The play features some of his best-loved characters and runs the gamut of romance, cross-dressing, mistaken identity, love notes, poetry, brilliant conversation, gentle satire, slapstick and passion.
Admission to Thursday’s performance is free for all students and teachers with ID. The Sunday matinee will be sign interpreted. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for seniors, $5 for students, and free for children younger than 12 and for members of the Sweet Briar community.
