Jackson has worked at Radford since 2010, and for the past 18 months led the office following the retirement of the executive director of university relations. She began her career as the public relations coordinator for the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech, where she advanced to interim director of the Office of Public Relations and Communications in 2009.
Jackson is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, the Virginia Government Communicators Association, and the College Communicators Association of Virginia and the District of Columbia.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in communication, with a concentration in public relations and minor in political science, and a master’s in corporate and professional communication, both from Radford.
Jackson, who begins work on Nov. 5, says it is an honor to join the Sweet Briar community.
“I believe this is an exciting time in the life of the College, and I am eager to begin working with the faculty, staff, students and alumnae to achieve great things for a great institution,” she said.
