Sigma Delta Pi welcomes five new members

Rho Omega, the Sweet Briar College chapter of Sigma Delta Pi National Honor Society, initiated five new student members at a ceremony on April 9 in the Garden Cottage on the Sweet Briar campus.

Rho Omega welcomed five new student members this spring.

The new student members are Leslie Andrade ’14, Rachel Craig ’14, Anna Richards ’14, Chiquita Sharp ’14 and Kasey Stewart ’15. Also inducted as an honorary member was assistant professor of Spanish Alessandra Chiriboga Holzneu.

The chapter officers, Reba Campbell ’14, Maria Cuevas ’14 and Anna Donko ’14, presided over the initiation.

Sigma Delta Pi honors students who excel in Spanish, meet the national society’s grade point average requirements and exhibit a high level of interest in Hispanic cultures and the Spanish language.
