Robeva to Speak at Mathematics Association Meeting Nov. 8

Raina Robeva, professor and chair of Sweet Briar’s mathematical sciences department, will speak Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Fall 2008 meeting of the Maryland-District of Columbia-Virginia Section of the Mathematical Association of America.

The meeting will be held at Hood College in Frederick, Md., and Robeva’s talk is titled, “A Slot Machine, a Test Tube, and the Timing of Evolutionary Changes.” For more information on the conference or to read an abstract of Robeva’s talk, visit the MAA’s Web site.
