The Fitness and Athletics Center construction has continued steadily throughout the summer. In addition, the Green Village student housing nears completion as students anxiously prepare for their return to campus in August.
The separate construction projects have developed into solid form over the summer months on the Sweet Briar campus. Despite some brief weather interruptions throughout June and July, the completion continues to be on target for this fall.
Campus activities slated for the 2009-10 academic year and beyond will revolve around the many amenities that the new Fitness and Athletics Center will be offering: The Bistro restaurant, the indoor running track, theater, courts for racketball, squash, tennis, basketball, and a host of other athletic and entertainment events. The Athletics Hall of Fame will also be showcased as one of the main features in this new facility!
