Professor Alix Ingber, who recently retired from Sweet Briar after teaching Spanish since 1980 and serving as director of academic advising, is a guest contributor to the Chronicle of Higher Education's Buildings & Grounds blog.
Ingber will be writing about and posting photos of the Sweet Briar Community Garden, providing occasional updates as the summer growing season progresses. Her first post was published today and describes the early days of the garden, when a handful of people with limited gardening experience discovered what they had gotten themselves into.
A founding member of the SBCG, Ingber also maintains the garden's official blog.
