Sweet Briar College softball player Melissa Viar received "Honorable Mention" recognition for the 2009 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) "All-ODAC" softball team.
Viar finished her final season as a Vixen having played second base and hitting for a season batting average of .424 and 14 hits. Her career batting average in 100 games played was .349. Melissa's defensive play in the field includes 164 put-outs over her four years at Sweet Briar.
