The Sweet Briar Vixen lacrosse team was victorious over the Methodist University (Fayetteville, N.C.) Monarchs today at Babcock Athletic Field by a score of 15-12.
The Vixen offense was "cohesive and had multiple assists to keep Methodist from getting any momentum", according to Sweet Briar assistant coach Ellie Donahue. Donahue also noted that goalkeeper Laura Wolf "had a great game with a tremendous amount of saves." In fact, Wolf had 23 saves throughout today's game.
Stewart Hulfish, '11Highlights of today's game were scoring from Stewart Hulfish ('11/Alexandria, Va.) with a total of eight goals, five scored in the first half as well as four assists.
Senior Megan Behrle (Manassas, Va.) contributed five goals with three assists.
Two goals were scored by Kristen Green ('11/Manassas, Va.) , and one goal each for D.J. Abernathy ('11/Annandale, Va.) and Seanne Weeks ('12/San Jose, Calif.).
The Vixens travel to Lynchburg College on Saturday evening for a 6:00 p.m. start time.
