The Sweet Briar Vixen softball team traveled to Randolph-Macon Ashland College (RMC) today. The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) doubleheader went to the Yellow Jackets.

Game 1 score was 6-0 to RMC. Vixen highlights were five strike-outs by pitecher Megan Franklin ('11/Powhatan, Va.) and Amey Landreth ('11/disputanta, Va.) had one-hit to break up a no-hitter for the Yellow Jackets. Megan Franklin takes the loss for game one.

Highlights in the second game include four hits for the Vixens in the 8-0 loss to RMC. Melissa Viar ('09/Madison Heights, Va.) and Amey Landreth each went 1 for 3; Christen Campbell, first-year player from Appomattox, Va. went one for two as did Blair Passagaluppi ('12/Tappahannock, Va.). Pitcher Katilyn Jones ('12/Advance, N.C.) records the loss for the Vixen squad.

The next outing for the Sweet Briar Vixens will be in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for spring break.
