The College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has recognized the Sweet Briar College Swim Team for its high academic performance.

The team finished the 2008 Fall Semester with a 3.15 GPA. The team's GPA resulted in the team receiving Academic All-American Recognition by the CSCAA. Sweet Briar was the only women's swimming school within the ODAC to be honored with this award.
