Barbara Perry, director of the Center for Civic Renewal and Carter Glass Professor of Government at Sweet Briar College, is scheduled to be a guest at noon Thursday, Jan. 29 on "The Kojo Nnamdi Show" 88.5 FM in Washington, D.C.
The show's topic is judicial appointments in the Obama administration. Other planned guests include Jeffrey Rosen of George Washington University Law School, Sarah Wilson of Covington & Burling, who was a White House counsel during the Clinton administration, and Rachel Brand, former associate counsel to George W. Bush.
WAMU is licensed to American University Radio, an affiliate of National Public Radio that also produces the nationally broadcast "The Diane Rehm Show." Nnamdi's show is a live two-hour magazine highlighting news, political issues and social trends. Longtime NPR listeners might remember when it was "The Derek McGinty Show." It aired as "Public Interest" after McGinty left until 2002 when it was renamed for Nnamdi, who has been hosting since 1998.
The show airs weekdays at noon. Listeners can join the conversation by calling (800) 433-8850, e-mailing kojo@wamu.org or using the contact link on the Web site. Streaming audio and podcasts are available at www.wamu.org.
