CHESTERLAND, Md. — The Sweet Briar College swim team traveled to Washington College for competition against Washington, Randolph Macon, and Bryn Mawr Colleges.
The scores against Washington College was in favor of WC 44-161. similar to the loss to Randolph Macon College losing 44-160.
The Vixens were victorious against Bryn Mawr winning by a score of 156.5 to 40.5.
Team highlights come from Melissa Simpson ('11/Madison Heights, Va.) with a time of 25.98 in the 50-free for 3rd overall. Hannah Hesser ('10/Richmond, Va.) placed 4th overall in the 100-butterfly with a time of 104.4, and first-year swimmer Charlotte Greenwood (Wyndmoor, Pa.) placed 5th overall in the 100-freestyle with a time of 58.56. Victoria Marshall ('10/Horsham, Pa.) teamed up with Simpson, Hesser, and Greenwood in the relay and took 3rd place overall with a time of 147.99.
"We've definitely improved from our first week of meet times and I expect even better times in the upcoming meets for our team," stated head coach Alex Kuhn.
