Sweet Briar’s field hockey team hosted their last home game of the season against conference challenger Eastern Mennonite University (EMU). This game, starting at 4:30 p.m. at Boathouse Field, had a special start as Dr. Jonathon Green, Dean of the College and Professor of Music, sang our national anthem to a Sweet Briar and EMU audience of friends and family proudly showing their school spirit.

While the Vixens fought hard throughout the game, the EMU Royals showed their strength early in the game and dominated, beating the Vixens 0-8.

Sweet Briar field hockey will be away on Wednesday Oct. 22 for a 4 p.m. game at Roanoke College.
