The Sweet Briar volleyball team played two games today in Williams Gym in front of a boisterous home crowd of about 100 supportive family and friends.
The first game for Sweet Briar College at 11 a.m. matched conference rival Bridgewater against the Vixens. The Eagles came out firing and won in three. Scores were 16-25, 16-25, and 12-25.
Game two was between the Fighting Squirrels of Mary Baldwin College at 3 p.m. This hard fought match was close each set, but the Squirrels won out winning 3-0 with scores of 23-25, 21-25, and 23-25.
