Sweet Briar volleyball lost to a tough Roanoke team in three. Scores were 15-25, 20-25, 16-25.
Highlights for the Vixens include team high of five kills by Cassidy Jones ('10/Rustburg, Va.). Sophomore Ashley Winters (Mechanicsville, Va.) contributed defensively with 19 digs, followed by Laura Jett ('10/Littleton, CO) with 16 digs. First-year player Alexis Rukenbrod (Laurel, Md.) had 11 assists.
The Vixens will meet up with Bridgewater and Mary Baldwin College on Saturday at Williams Gym starting at 11 a.m.
