On Aug. 26, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced that more than 1,000 student-athletes in the ODAC were awarded the All-ODAC Academic Award.
Of these, more than two dozen Sweet Briar College student-athletes representing all seven varsity sports were named to the All-Academic Team for the 2007-2008 academic year. Three were dual-sport participants.
Eligibility for the ODAC All-Academic Team is open to any student-athlete that competes in a conference-sponsored sport, regardless of academic class. He or she must achieve at least a 3.25 grade point average for the year to be considered.

Field Hockey — Jane Craddock, Amey Landreth and Melaina Macone
Soccer — Kat Alexander, Allison Brookes, Laura Hanold, Alexis Hart, Hannah Hesser, Molly McDowell, Helen Phillips and Lisa Weisbrich
Volleyball — Natalie Cutchin, Lauren Foster, Laura Jett and Cassidy Jones
Swimming — Kelsey Smith, Kennedy Munro, Danelle Houck, Hannah Hesser, Sarah Hall and Samantha Benito

Tennis — Elizabeth Baker, Caroline Byrd, Anne Eden and Michelle Raymond
