The Sweet Briar Vixen Field Hockey team traveled to Shenandoah University and swatted the Hornets, 3-2.
Team play was led by Vixen first-year players Ariel Yoder (Winston-Salem, N.C.) with one goal, and Alanna Keane (No. Attleboro, Mass.) with a score, and veteran player Molly McGonegle ('10/Virginia Beach, Va.) also with a score. First year goalie Maddy Wilson (Orange, Va.) is credited with helping her team hold the Hornets to two goals and beating the Hornets for the second straight year.
The Vixens will host ODAC member Bridgewater College on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 4:30 p.m. at Boathouse Road Field.
