The Sweet Briar Vixens took to the road to Mary Baldwin College today. Two younger Vixens led the team in an exciting 7 to 2 win over Mary Baldwin.

Sophomore center midfielder Kat Alexander (Marshall, N.C.)controlled the midfield throughout the game and had two goals and two assists. First year flank midfielder Sierra Palmieri (Ft. Collins, CO) had two goals in each half of todays game and provided a strong threat on the outside of the field. Junior Helen Phillips (Lynchburg, Va.) scored early in the second half to put the game out of reach.

Strong performances by Bethany Magee ('09/Prince George,Va.) with one assist, sophomore Emily Davies from Waynesboro, Va. (two assists) and goalkeeper Lindsay Arnold ('10/ Woodstock, Va.) with seven saves solidified the victory for the Vixens.

Sweet Briar is on the road again Tuesday at Averett College.
