The Vixen Volleyball Team made the road trip to Beckley, W.Va. and despite a hard-fought effort, lost in three. The game scores were 15-25, 20-25, and 25-27.

Dori Rucker (SR/Virginia Beach, Va.) had the game high of eight kills, and sophomore Brooke Moody (Concord, VA)contributed 20 assists. Defensively, Ashley Winters (SO/Mechanicsville, Va.) put in 14 digs toward the team's effort against Mountain State University.

Sweet Briar (4-7) will host the Methodist Monarchs on Saturday Sept. 13 at 3:00 p.m. in Williams Gymnasium.
