The Sweet Briar Vixens suffered their first loss of the season in a 0-2 effort against Bryn Mawr College. While play was highly competitive throughout the match, Bryn Mawr was able to score once on a break away in the first half and off a deflected shot in the second. Back-up goalkeeper junior Lindsay Arnold (Woodstock, VA) had 13 saves on 15 shots while the Vixens had 10 shots on goal.

Senior Bethany Magee (Prince George, VA) had a great game in the back line while junior Helen Phillips (Lynchburg, VA) and Kat Alexander (SO/Marshall,NC) carried much of the load in the midfield. First year striker Emily Davies (Waynesboro,VA) kept up a tremendous workrate throughout the match.

The 1-1 Vixens play next Saturday, September 13, at Mary Baldwin.
