Sweet Briar College Volleyball Team held their home opener today at 6:30 pm at Williams Gymnasium against the Southern Virginia University Knights. The Vixens fell 1-3 to the Knights after almost two hours of spirited play by both teams. Game scores were 22-25 for game 1, game 2 the score was 25-23, 23-25 and 17-25 for games 3 and 4 respectively. Vixen Volleyball is now 2-3 for the fall.

The Sweet Briar team will travel this weekend of September 5 and 6 to the Roanoke Maroon Classic Tournament to face Ferrum and Shenandoah Colleges on Friday September 5, and Methodist and Meredith Colleges on Saturday September 6.

The next home match for the Vixens is Tuesday September 9,2008 6:30 PM against ODAC member Virginia Wesleyan College. Please join us!
