Sweet Briar Field Hockey traveled to the Bridgewater College campus on Saturday August 29 where they met up with the College of Notre Dame, Maryland. The Vixens won by a score of 3-1 with one goal scored by junior Molly McGonegle (Virginia Beach, VA), and two goals scored by sophomore Alicia Modzelewski (Virginia Beach, VA). Both Madeline Wilson, a first year student from Orange, VA and Emma Rakosky, also a first year student from Ellicott City, MD shared the goalkeeper position. Madeline had 3 saves, Emma had 7, together keeping Notre Dame to only one goal.

Day 2 of the tournament on Sunday, August 30, the Vixens met up with conference school Bridgewater College. Sweet Briar fell to the Eagles, 1-5 with first year student Alanna Keane (No. Attleboro, MA) scoring the lone goal.

Sweet Briar Hockey will host Randolph-Macon College on Thursday September 11 at 4:30 pm.
