In April, Sweet Briar President Elisabeth Muhlenfeld announced her plans to retire from the College in June 2009.
Since that time, the board of directors has formed a presidential search committee and taken the initial steps to find the College’s next leader. In a memorandum to the Sweet Briar community, board chair Virginia Upchurch Collier ’72 provides a complete update on the search process.
