Virginia Edahl '10

Tennis Vixen Virginia Edahl (Charlotte, N.C./Providence) was honored with second-team honors on Monday as the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) announced its 2008 All-State teams.

The honor comes after Edahl finished this spring 10-3 at No. 1 singles and 10-4 at No. 1 doubles. She concluded the spring with six straight singles wins and along with doubles partner Caroline Byrd (Virginia Beach, Va./Norfolk Academy) took eight of her last 10 doubles matches.

Edahl was named to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference second team in singles and doubles in late April.
