Top Four Seeds Advance on First Day of ODAC Women's Tennis Championships
The top four seeds advanced to the semifinals on Friday as play began at the 2008 ODAC Women’s Tennis Championships hosted by Sweet Briar College.

The top-seeded Washington and Lee University Generals advanced to the semis with a 7-0 win over # 8 Guilford College. The Generals will face #4 Virginia Wesleyan College, who advanced to the semifinal round with a 7-2 win over #5 Roanoke College.

The other semifinal match will pit #2 Bridgewater College against #3 Hollins University. Bridgewater defeated No. 10 Lynchburg College 5-2 in the opening round, while Hollins defeated #6 Randolph-Macon College 6-0.

Both semifinal matches will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
