BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Sophomore Blair Mullally (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) belted a three-run home run on Tuesday as Sweet Briar College came up two runs short at Bridgewater College. The host Eagles swept the conference doubleheader by scores of 5-3 and 6-2.

Junior Melissa Viar (Madison Heights, Va./Amherst Co.) went a combined 3-for-6 on the day with the bat, hitting two singles and a double. Outfielder junior Meagan Bell (Amherst, Va./Amherst Co.) also had a strong day at the plate. She was 2-for-3 in game two with a single and a double.
Sweet Briar wraps up the regular season with two home conference doubleheaders this weekend. The Vixens will face Randolph-Macon College at 2 p.m. on Friday, followed by a 12:30 face-off with Randolph College on Sunday.
