Lynchburg, Va. — Sweet Briar tennis picked up its first conference win of the season on Thursday as the Vixens downed Lynchburg College 6-3 on the road.

Sweet Briar took four of the six singles matches and two of the three doubles matches for the win to improve its overall record to 3-5.

Vixens first-year Ebie Baker (Farmville, Va./Prince Edward Co.) and sophomore Leslie Polaski (Amherst, Va./Amherst Co.)
each fought back in third-set tiebreakers to push Sweet Briar to the win.

Sweet Briar has a full schedule this weekend, traveling to Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday and Randolph-Macon on Sunday. Both matches get underway at 1 p.m.
