Sophomore swimmer Hannah Hesser (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal) and first-year Melissa Simpson (Madison Heights, Va./Amherst County) garnered all-conference honors on Tuesday as the ODAC announced its All-ODAC swimming team.
Both swimmers were top performers at the 2008 ODAC/Atlantic States meet in February. Hesser was a member of two record-breaking relay teams and finished the meet with two second-place finishes and five third-place finishes. She also swam a lifetime best in the 100-yard butterfly.

Together, the pair was involved in all nine new school records (six individual, three relay) set by Sweet Briar swimming this winter.
First-year head coach Alex Kuhn was named ODAC "Coach of the Year," receiving the honor at the conference meet. Under Kuhn, the Vixens finished the regular season 12-2 overall and captured 65 percent of their races during the dual-meet season.
