Vixens Travel to Ashland to Face Yellow Jackets
ASHLAND, Va. – First-year Stewart Hulfish (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) and junior Meredith Newman (Charottesville, Va./Tandem) netted two goals apiece on Friday in a 19-8 conference loss at Randolph-Macon College. With the loss, Sweet Briar moves to 1-3 on the young season.

Hulfish finish with a team best five points, added three assists to her two goals. Other goal scorers for the Vixens were Ellie Donahue ’08 (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal), Megan Behrle (Manassas, Va./Stonewall Jackson), D.J. Abernathy ’11 (Annandale, Va./W.T. Woodson) and Carter Dame ’11 (Richmond, Va./Douglas Freeman) with one goal each.

The Vixens are back in action on Tuesday. The team travels out of conference to take on Ferrum College at 4:30 p.m.
