MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Sweet Briar softball faced N.C. Wesleyan on Sunday in a tune up for the Snowbird Tournament which begins on Monday. The Vixens belted two home runs in the game, but fell 10-7 in the non-conference contest.
Senior Beth Anderson (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) and first-year Ellie Witt (Salem, Va./Northside) hit the home runs for Sweet Briar. Anderson was 3-for-4 at the plate in the game with two RBIs. Witt, 1-for-4, brought home three runs with her shot over the fence.
The Vixens open the tournament tomorrow with Arcadia and Penn State Berks.
